WHILE WE WERE DATING...

"After our memorable sushi picnic, Mason and I began the next two years of dating. These two years contain many of our favorite memories. We went to Utah football games, sang Billy Joel during karaoke, made homemade pasta, and had dinner dates up Provo Canyon.

We went on our first family trip together to Newport Beach for spring break. This turned into family trips to Boston, Cape Cod, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and many more. We had so much fun getting to know each other and both of our families. We experienced car accidents, long school semesters, and new jobs together.

In June of 2024, I left for a study abroad in Europe. While I was supposed to be enjoying many new countries and cultures, I spent most of the time missing Mason and looking forward to being back in Provo together. We sent lots of postcards, FaceTimed at all the big tourist sights, and lived vicariously through each other’s summers. It was during this time when I really knew I wanted Mason in my life.

We ended the summer together in Hollywood, Florida, where I got to experience a snippet of Mason’s childhood. It was so fun to be a part of where many memories were formed for him.

What has stood out the most to me during our time of dating was the year that followed that summer. During this school semester, I was preparing to graduate and trying to decide what I wanted to do with my life. Every step of the way and during every big decision, I felt constantly supported by Mason. Over and over, Mason reminded me that wherever I went, we would make it work and continue to be together. This is one of Mason’s biggest strengths. He makes every goal, dream, or plan I have happen.

In May of 2025, I graduated and moved to Orlando, Florida, where I started working in advertising for Disney. While this meant Mason and I were apart, it was so fun to begin a new chapter of our lives. We planned trips to see each other, enjoying many days at Disney World and weekends back in Utah.
